Three weeks ago, I was looking at the online live Covid-19 tracker developed by 17 year old computer whiz Avi Schiffmann, and thought “hmm not a lot of cases in Africa.” I am guilty of believing that meant I was somehow safe from getting the corona virus.

Since I have learned that we, Black people, are not immune. In fact, this just may hit us the hardest for many reasons. I’ve seen so much suffering over the past three weeks and I wonder how Welstand can help do more for our community.

SO…if you are reading this and need help PLEASE reach out and we will do our best to link you to the resources you need, including where to get tested.

PLEASE STAY HOME, wash your hands WITH SOAP, WEAR A MASK when you do have to go out!

Below are some articles I found that have confirmed by fear that this will hit us hard.
