The African-American Complete Count Committee is sponsoring a student video contest about the importance of completing the 2020 Census.
How to enter
Must be a current African American / Black student affiliated with a school or in the community to participate in the contest. Examples; Black Student Unions, Youth Ministry groups, Rights of passage groups, Fraternity/Sorority groups, etc.
Participants must do the following:
- Must submit a video through the contest submission page
- Submissions will not be accepted after May 1st, 2020
- All students starring in videos must have a signed release by a parent if not over 18 years of age. If over the age of 18 you can sign your own release.
- Multiple entries are not allowed
Eligibility restrictions
- Employees of the Office of African American Affairs (OAAA) and Welstand Foundation, affiliates, members of the immediate families (i.e. spouse, child, sibling, parent, or grandparent, etc.), and members of the households (whether related or not) of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate or win in this contest.
- Members of the African American Complete Count Committee (AACCC)
- Participants agree to abide by applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations.
- All submissions will be owned by the Office of African American Affairs (OAAA) and Welstand Foundation.
Prizes
- If the winner is unable to accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety after 90 days from notification of award winners.
- No substitution of prize is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted.
- Prizes will be awarded only upon winner verification and approval by the African American Complete Count Committee (AACCC).
- Awards will be presented as follows:
Middle School
One (1) First Place: $1,000
One (1) Second Place: $500
High School
One (1) First Place: $1,000
One (1) Second Place: $500
Undergrad-College
One (1) First Place: $1,000
One (1) Second Place: $500
